ROSEN O-Ren Coat in Black Boiled Wool

The O-Ren looks deceptively simple, but it took us a few rounds of searching for a tailor who would take up the task of making it. We wanted the end result to be a large garment that wraps the wearer like a newborn baby being enveloped in his mother's arms for the first time. Safe and warm before the world gets to them.

The technical details include: a rounded collar hidden under oversized waterfall collar that is large enough to drape across the front, back yoke seam that runs from one end of the sleeve across the back to the other end of the sleeve, giant waist pockets to store passports and sandwiches (we cannot stress how much we value functional pockets), and a batwing silhouette that accommodates varying body shapes and sizes. There is no closure to the coat.

We've come to love this boiled wool fabric that drapes and moves beautifully in motion despite its substantial weight. It is highly textured but does not itch, which we have personally tested ourself after wearing it over different outfits. Best of all, it works as a coat that can be converted into a blanket on the plane.
